Hey Rock and Roll!!!! TPH is a new band inspired by Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Great White, Loudness, Dokken, Scorpions, Deep Purple, Def Leppard and other classic bands, yet retaining an originality all their own. TPH features the vocal styling and wit of Johnny Wilde, a childhood vocal and harmony composing prodigy with the grown up street cred of years fronting Wild Society and Road Warriors and also serving in Northwest Brit-Pop group Phamous Phaces. The songwriting and guitar is handled by International-Selling Instrumental Shred Artist Michael Stevenson, formerly of Intensity (also featuring former Yngwie Drummer Tim Donahue). Michael is now a fast selling International Solo Guitar Hero Rock Instrumental Artist with 7 highly acclaimed solo albums. He also fronts and plays guitar for Power Metal Heavyweights Vulgar Village and plays guitar for Melodic Metal/Hard Rock Stylists Stinger. Michael did Eugene, Oregon proud in the 1990's by winning the Joe Satriani National Guitar Competition for Original Guitar Solo. Michael received a 540R Ibanez like Satriani used on "Surfin' With The Alien" and Joe personally signed the guitar in Michael's presence!!!! Then he opened for Yngwie Malmsteen, Quiet Riot, Ace Frehely, and Edgar Winter with Intensity. Drums on Women, Booze and Song are handled by Ron Brett of Johnny Outlaw, Voodoo Chili, Stinger, Vulgar Village, Michael R. Stevenson and formerly Amy Clausen. He is a beast on the drums and will take you to a higher level of drum enjoyment than on records with a "normal" drummer. Trailer Park Heroes is currently looking to book a West Coast, US, or World Tour. TPH is available for tour support and opening act honors for national acts. TPH also is available for VAN HALEN/SCORPIONS/DOKKEN Tribute performances.
Album description:
The proceedings are kicked off with "Runnin' Wild" and Ron Brett's precision double bass propels this song in to "Hot For Teacher" territory, Wilde's rowdy vocals and Michael's guitar prowess and acrobatics get the party started in a BIG way! "Outta the Game" is a sentimental, melodic radio powerhouse highlighting Johnny's versatility....guitar is fully inspired, think Eddie VH's best from 1984! "Playin' Me" is a hit with the guys and ladies alike, great bluesy rock vocals and guitar, think "Drop Dead Legs" and "Take Your Whiskey Home" by Van Halen with a "Philly" vibe. Michael plays slide briefly, very rare for him but extremely cool and tasteful here....great guitar.... Title track was re-written because original lyrics were a little "square" lol.... now it is the party song and anthem of the album.... "baddittude" to spare! Crunchin' rhythm, light speed solo, and vocals that'll make ya sing along! "Holdin' On (to You)" is so catchy it should be illegal. Much better and similar to a lot of Hagar era VH Radio tunes. "Young Love" is dark and moody adding a Deep Purple feel a bit. An extremely original and catchy darker tune with some of the best guitar and vocals on the album. "My Way or the Highway" a legendary song with much history, Wilde puts his unique stamp on it, guitar for the ages....both the blistering and bluesy leads and the beautiful chording and crunchin' riffs. "Quickie (Vesuvius)" is a brief display of fretboard acrobatics that will leave you saying "Wow!!!!" "Whiskey Alley" closes the way it opens....with a K.O. punch reminding that although TPH has the melodies and hooks, they can put the pedal to the metal with the elite of rock and metal! Incredible Pacific Northwest Hard Rock Album.
